South East secures Housing Infrastructure Funding

There’s good news for 13 projects across the South East Local Enterprise Partnership (SELEP) area, as the Government is giving them a share of more than £82m from the Housing Infrastructure Fund (HIF).

The funding will help deliver 13,443 new homes on sites across Kent, Essex, East Sussex, Thurrock and Southend, all of which which have stalled due to viability.

Each of the schemes was championed by the respective councils and endorsed by SELEP, as making an important contribution to the delivery of new homes.

It’s great to see the government has recognised the need to support South East schemes, having awarded nearly £1 in every £10 of the £866m earmarked nationally to support local housing projects.
