Every little helps for Dartford

Residents of Dartford will no doubt hear whoops of joys emanating from the corridors of the borough council following Tesco’s decision to sell 14 Spenhill development sites.

The council had become increasingly disillusioned with the retail giant after many years of delay on the town centre project.

The total transaction, worth £250m, will see the site across London, the South East and Bath, sold to a fund and clients advised by Meyer Bergman. The sites are suitable for mixed-use and residential development, and mark further progress against Tesco's strategic priority of strengthening its balance sheet.

Tesco and Meyer Bergman, the pan-European real estate investment manager, have reached completion on 11 of the 14 sites – including, Kentcentric understands, the Lowfield Street development site in Dartford.
